Gain valuable hands-on skills in the treatment of knee arthritis This highly interactive, hands-on skills course presents proven surgical techniques to treat knee arthritis and prevent and manage complications. New this year, work side-by-side in the cadaver lab with expert faculty as they guide you through a step-by-step approach on how to do a UKA.
Panel discussions offer opportunities to challenge the faculty and review problematic cases. Stimulating discussions give you valuable solutions and insights into indications, techniques for primary and revision total knee arthroplasty, outcomes, and how to avoid complications.
|
|
At the conclusion of this course or webinar, learners should be able to:
- Evaluate patients with knee arthritis and formulate a treatment plan considering
partial vs. total knee arthroplasty
- Review knee anatomy, approaches, and various knee joint exposure options for
primary and revision knee arthroplasty
- Avoid complications related to primary and revision total knee arthroplasty and
manage the complications when they occur
- Plan for revision total knee arthroplasty including identifying the optimal
approach to implant and cement removal and determining which type of
reconstruction should be considered based upon preoperative assessment
- Diagnosis and management of knee instability and reconstructive strategies
